Chairman's Message
"The Company Of The Curtain is an accomplished and respected amateur drama group. The group, which takes its name from an Elizabethan theatre company, presents its plays in the North Warwickshire village of Curdworth and enjoys audience support from all over the Midlands region.
The Company has presented a full programme of plays every year on an uninterrupted basis since our foundation way back in 1937.
Our enthusiastic and dedicated membership is supplemented by the energetic and exuberant members of our Studio Group, a division of the Company committed to the development of young people from the age of twelve years and upwards.
Our Company has a dynamic approach to productions with a team of experienced directors overseeing a wide range of dramatic offerings which appeal to audiences of all ages.
To ensure our standards remain at the highest possible level we are constantly looking to recruit new members for acting, non-acting and technical roles and would like to hear from people interested in joining a friendly and progressive organisation.
Over seventy years ago our group was founded on sound principles and our objectives remain unchanged today. Our mission statement reads;
'By giving people the opportunity to express themselves and to fulfil their ambitions, by training young people and to afford them benefit in their developing lives, we aim to entertain local people without reward or return'
